After a year of terrible signal with Cingular, I made the switch to Verizon, and I LOVE IT! I can talk anywhere in my nice warm house... ..I do not have to go out on my deck anymore and tilt my head a certain way to get a bar on my phone anymore. Everyone I talk to says I sound very clear. It's peace of mind to know that if I need to make a call, for whatever reason, I can.

Reception is average but Customer Service is atrocious! My contract is up in January and I will be switching. I am not a rude person and do not tolerate rude people.

Seems the number of bars fluctuates depending upon the time of day. Frequently have to go outside on the deck to maintain a good signal.

No signal. Spritnt says its a "known coverage hole" when I reported it 4 months ago. They won't do anything about it.

Very bad reception. We have switched phones four times and still cannot get reception. We have changed our 'No Answer' greeting to one that says "Due to bad cellular signal, we are unable to receive your call. Please leave a message, and we will return your call when we can". When in the house, phones are left near doorways so that I can at least have the phone ring with one little signal bar, and then I grab it and run outside with it, hoping not to lose the call in the process. What a pain! Stay away from Cingular in this area!

Dropped calls all the time Sprint called it a "known coverage hole" in their service, which translates as: "we know about it but will do nothing"

Although I get 4-5 bars of coverage, I get dropped ALL THE TIME. I started writing down the times I got dropped and averaged 3 drops per day on about 8 calls. ALL of these calls are when I have 4-5 bars. So theoretically, Cingular is right... I have more bars in more places, but that doesn't mean you can actually make a call! I'm a former Verizon customer and will be switching back. I never had this issue with Verizon. Network is rock solid.

Lots of cut-outs maybe due to terrain.
