If I put my phone in a window on a certain side of the house I may or may not get two bars but its useless anywhere else inside. If I'm talking to someone when I pull in the driveway I will maintain reception but if I get off and try to call out I can't. If I stand on my head while wrapped in aluminum with my tongue stuck out on the left side of my mouth I might get one bar. We've called and they acted surprised but then called us back and said there was not a tower anywhere in the vicinity. They let us cancel our plan without charging us the $250.
No reception despite the fact T mobile coverage map shows good reception. Get 5 bars in my house but cannot receive or make calls and phone just keeps flashing searching. T mobile very slow to respond to several emails I've made.
Cingular's reception for GSM has been inproving greatly. I work in Dawsonville, but go to school at North Georgia, and I usually get reception were ever I go. My roomates either have the old TDMA Cingular phones or Nextel, and they are always using my phone no matter where we go. Cingular might not work way out in the boones, but for the most part Cingular's national coverage can't be beat.
