I don't know what has happened recently to change my service. I have the smame cell phone. the only change is: I have really good phone and I used to have great reception inside my home or outside. Something has changed in the last 6 months because I now get lousy reception and have to go outside my home to make a call. So does my husband and other people who have Verizon. That's ok for now but after winter comes, making calls won't be so pleasant and if it's raining same deal. According to Verizon nothing has changed in my area. So if you live west of Dallas Ga. just know Verizon now has bad reception / service.
Picks up good at my house. Two miles down the road at the intersection of Dallas Acworth and East Paulding Dr. the reception is not very good. There is a tower at that intersection. It must not be a Verizon tower.
Reception is fine on the drive home from working in Kennewsaw but when I go inside the house I can only use my phone in certain spots in the house. I rent the basement and do not get reception. If I do get reception I lose it the minute I pick up the phone to answer the call. Quite a problem when your cell phone is your only phone. When I was with Verizon I got reception all throughout the house even the basement. Cingular is terrible both reception wise and customer service, even their management doesn't care. I will probably be going back to Verizon. Never had problems with them.
You get service long enough to make the call, once you hit send the signal drops to nothing and calls disconnect. Complained several times to try to get out of contract, but unfortunatly customer service sucks. Boot Nextel
Been with PowerTel,VoiceStream and now T-Mobile 91 / 2 years.Still waiting to get a signal more than 10 percent of the time. All the available land in this aera does not make since.Addressed T-Mobile many times in when might one expect coverage in our aera. Told by T-Mobile that many of their customers roaming is free on Cingulars network and Cingulars customers roam on T-Mobile free, but not Atlanta.
I had an old Nokia phone for years and eventually got no reception at home. The Cingular rep told me it was because of the old technology was no longer going to supported or upgraded. So, I got a new phone and singed up for a 2year contract. Same results. Very very poor signal. Motorola V180. What a waste of money. I'm still upset they phased out the analog phones way back when. No problems with those phones. Why can't they just leave well enough alone?!
When I am in the Libarary my phone always goes to analog roam. No one has service there besides Sprint, Nextel, and Verizon. Some towers need to be added because this area is generally a bad service area.
