I live in Jones County and travel to Jeffersonville, Ga. almost everyday. I have almost no reception once leaving the Macon area. My business depends on cell and texting service so this is very frustrating. My wife bought me the IPhone for Christmas or I would terminate my service with AT&T and immediately go to Verizon. Might do it anyway!
Always showing missed calls when at home or inside of any building. I can have the phone in my hand and it will go to voice mail. AT&T is terrible. I have a 3 year old LG work phone with Verizon that never misses a call, even traveling to places like Reynolds, Eatonton and beyond. So I am looking into changing from ATT to Verixzon even before my contract is up.
Granted, the location specified is a creek bottom, but 3 other Verizon customers had 4 and 5 bar signals while my AT&T had "no service". This is not uncommon at all. Inside metal buildings, such as Walmart or Home Depot, where my wife's Verizon phone has 5 bars, I have 1 or no service. AT&T, you need to hire that guy from the Verizon commercial...
Unfortunately this is the 2nd apartment location that I'm experiencing terrible reception (Emeryville, CA and Macon, GA). Zero to 1 bar during non-peak times. It's 2008 when anything can happen except getting consistently good cell phone service.
Paid more than $700 last month because almost all calls were doping and had to resort to roaming when I had to make important calls. I had been with Cingular for more than 7 years before coming to sprint. I never experienced the horrible service and network... Please go some other place and live longer
Nextel has no service unless you in downtown Gray. They have been promising for years to improve but no new towers in our area for years.(and none on the books coming)
There seems to be a completely dead zone through this area on Northside Drive. Reception is fine before and after the low point in the road by the school and intersection.
