signal fluctuates - from none to 4 bars. Of course when I try to call and it is at 4 bars it drops to 1 or 2. Often phone never rings but voice mails appear.

In and around this area the signal fluctuates greatly. Having gone from AT&T to Cingular, using a GAIT phone (Nokia 6340i), reception was better than in the past. However, with a Nokia 6230, a Nokia 6620, a Motorola V551 and a Motorola RAZR in our home, I am amazed that GSM works better than the old TDMA. Signal went from 0-1 bar to 1-2+ bars, and much fewer dropped calls (we're NOT on top of a hill or mountain!).

Used to work fine, now I struggle to get a signal anywhere. Most surface streets have large areas of no service, and some interstate sections are plagued by lost / dropped calls.

Reception in this area is not good even though a cell tower is located near this intersection. Verizon states that the terrain must be causing the interference, since there are two contracted towers near this area. Also the tower located at the intersection has not been contracted by Verizon. Otherwise, Verizon has excellent coverage in Cobb County.

Good reception in and out of home in this area. Wife has lately been getting "Cingular Extend" in downtown Atlanta, but that may be due to merge with AT&T. Phone also useable up on the mountains north of Dahlonega, and down along the AL/GA line south of Columbus, and in Destin. Very rarely can we not get a decent signal.

I get no reception in my home - phone will ring, but have to run outside with it to answer it (and only get one bar at that point). My sister's Verizon phone works perfectly in the house. I am less than 1/4 mile south of Post Oak Tritt, 1/2 block from Johnson Ferry.
