When we first moved here in the summer of 2005 the reception was spotty. Some days the phone would work in the apartment and some days it wouldn't. Now it works just fine and I always have 5 bars. The reception isn't perfect but it's pretty good.
Berwick Plantation area next to the new Kroger shopping center has poor reception outside and usually none indoors. Spoke with Sprint many times even to the point that a technician drove through to test the signal. Of course, they said it's OK. Must be my phone. I got a newer 3G phone that gave a little improvement and things have gotten a little better. Went to Memphis TN on business and had perfect reception and clarity. Same deal at Atlanta's Hartsfield airport. My phone must only be broken in Savannah.
I am trying to find out if the reason for no reception inside buildings is because of my current phone or the service provider; and how to rectify this situation. I am tired of not being able to get a signal and make a call, when all around me with other service providers and phones are able to get connected.
We recently switched from Nextel because we got very poor reception at our house, inside or out. Now we get good reception everywhere on the island and alll over Savannah.
