Live in a Cond and have no problems with reception or dropped calls. As for other parts of the island never had a problem with Verizon from any parts of the island. Been in remote places like Kaena Pt with 2 bars of reception, no less then 3 bars out in Kahaluu (Mtn.area), Hoomaluhia Botanical Gardens, Dillingham Air Strip, Whillamina Rise. No problem in elevators also. The cell phone can make a difference too. Had a different cell before and I couldn't get no reception in the Waikele Shopping area (accross from Kmart) where the buildings are made of steel. I also had problems if shopping in the far end of Walmart Kunia and Walmart and Sams in Pearl City. With this phone I have no problems now.

No matter the bars... reception is spotty. I can be having a seemingly good conversation and suddenly be cut off... in my own apartment! And their customer servie... "The customer is number 1" they must be counting backwards the y way they treat you. I just switched to MOBI-PCS.

No service at all. Ewa bound on Moanalua Hwy., soon after the Stadium / Halawa / H3 Fwy. exit, the calls drop on a regular basis, the "no service" is displayed, and remains dead until the H1 freeway widening project in the Waimalu area. No change in six (6) years.

In my house, I usually get three bars, sometimes four bars which indicates full reception. From what I've heard from my father, Verizon doesn't work well at Hickam AFB and sometimes I have low reception in the stores in Ala Moana. I have also had low reception on the beach at spots on Kahala Beach. Along Moanalua Frwy though there is always full reception.

At home I don't get very good reception. There are usually three bars which causes people to fade in and out during conversations. That's the only complaint.

Very good reception, best yet. I think it is the service not the phone as much. I have had problems with the phone, but after almost three years my phone is still working. TMobile gets my vote, wish that International reception was as good, maybe that is asking for too much.
