Only 1 bar, slow reception, calls fail repeatedly, takes long to connect when calling, the caller can't hear me, and worst of all... the reception is so poor that sometimes the phone doesn't ring with incoming call / goes straight to vm. My phone works find anywhere else on the island. AT&T needs to get their act together and update their towers in Ewa Beach!

I have 3-5 bars and can talk and surf the Internet. I watch Netflix on my phone with good results. The biggest problem will be the occasional dropped call but it is not a problem to be concerned about.

Is it the lack of cell towers or what? Paying for a service that you can't use fully is a crime. I will wait to see what my written complaints will do... who knows...

ABSOLUTELY POOR COVERAGE. I'll be talking on the phone for 30 minutes or so on business call - and the call will drop. Why, I don't know - but its absolutely inconvenient. It's a good thing that Apple signed a deal with AT&T and it has great applications.

i love Cingular dont get me wrong I think there plans and fones are supieror to all other companies u can see this by all other companies ripping off there designs but in oahu I think there coverage sucks and is not worth me spending money on I guess I am going to go with Verizon I hear a lot of people have switched to that here

Zero bars inside home... 1-2 outside but cannot connect. Paying for a service that is useless at home. Customer Service and the online mapping show an antenna / repeater nearby but obviously it doesn't work. Plus they don't care to fix it since I been calling dem since July 07

Many "Call Failed" messages, very frustrating. Lately been having complaints about my voice coming in choppy from my home in ewa beach gentry area.

None to poor service from my home in Ewa. No service from inside Pearlridge. No service from within the Navy Exchange. Not sure if it's my phone since it's a dual band 1800 / 1900 and not 850 MHz. Service is also below average from within my office near Radford Drive (Mapunapuna).

Cannot make calls inside my house at all. I have to go outside and face Diamond Head to get reception. Even when I pull into the driveway, my calls get cut off.

Intermittent signal drop here in Ewa. Sometime no signal at all. Dropped calls even on Ft Weaver Road.

I wish I had found this website before I signed on with T-Mobile. I have little to no reception at my house and lots of other places on island. Since they dropped the 'Hawaii Guarantee,' I'm dropping T-Mobile!

Terrible reception in my house; 0-1 bars 1st floor, 1-2 bars on 2nd floor, outside 2-4 bars. I called tech support, they said my home is in a low reception area and will be upgrading antenna in next 6 months, called 6 months later and said the same thing. Also my area does not have coverage for in-home calls? What the? Will change carriers using Hawaii Guarantee.

My husband and I kept on thinking that it was the phone that gave us no reception in that area so we changed our phones. Now we are finding out that there is no coverage in that area at all and it wasn't our phones. So when will you solve the problem with no coverage in that area?

I cannot get my phone to connect while I'm in Habush in Ewa Beach area. I wish T-Mobile would make a site out there. I spend weekends and days out there watching my son play sports too bad my wife has a problem getting ahold of me due to poor or no reception at all. We even changed phones nothing has helped.

My phone calls drop every time I make a call from my new place down on the beach. Also calls don't come through... never had a problem on the mainland (not one dropped call ever), now ever call drops and I get maybe one or two bars tops. I hear AT&T is better but not sure who is best for this area. I still have a mainland Area Code so will try switching to 808.

Reception is good but that's it. My wife and I both have the same plan and phone and neither one of us can stay connected. We have dropped calls every single time we call someone up to ten in one conversation for my wife. I'm returning these phones and cancelling my contract tomorrow. Verizon is garbage for us in Ewa Beach.

Very scattered reception. Have it one minute, lose it the next.

I get 5 or 6 out of 6 bars in reception. Never had a problem making a call from anywhere between St. Francis down to "old" Ewa Beach. I think Verizon has about the best coverage over many of the other smaller carriers. The only thing I don't like about this phone (compared to my older Motorola dual-mode) is sometimes it seems like it's a walkie-talkie where when you speak, sometimes the other guy is blocked out. Might just be the phone rather than the system because never had that problem with my old Motorola.
