Nextel reception near the airport area is poor and at times no signal at all. Constant dropped calls and loss of service is frequent here at the terminal as well as the Aloha Airlines Freight area. All my buddues on Netel expieriance the same here.

It never fails. Everytime I drive through Punchbowl I always lose reception. I have numerously complained about the poor reception in the area, yet nothing has been done about it. Whenever I enter the area now and am on the phone I pull my car over in fear Ill lose the call.

In my house it is one bar, bordering on zero bars. I have to go outside to prevent calls from dropping. Outside I can get 2-3 bars; the signal drifts in and out. The signal strength and call quality are almost the same as T-Mobile, which I dropped after my 1 year contract ended.

Reception rating: 1 (poor) -Calls drop every time in that location. Sprint PCS (poor customer service) provides me at lesat two dropped calls daily. Coverage is spotty at fringe areas of the island that is least populated or traveled. There is no signal after moving >100 feet into a parking structure. Elevators eliminate their signal. It can't be faulted in CDMA technology because Verizon Wireless uses the same technology and users are able to hold calls in parking structures and in elevators.

In general, reception around Honolulu is not very good. Call quality is also poor, and Sprint's customer services is the absolute WORST!

Using a factory unlocked iPhone 4S running on T-Mobile. Usually 4-5 bars and no problems with voice calls from the Waipahu to Ala Moana area. Data is of course limited to EDGE which is ok for me since I only use email and limited web browsing.
