Sprint

1 Out of 5 (1 star) | Piikoi | Young, Honolulu, HI 96801 |

stayed in honolulu for 2 weeks and Sprint dropped more than half of my calls - no exaggeration. keep in mind this was in the heart of town, not out in the mountains. I asked locals and they all said that Sprint sucks there.

In condo; dropping calls continually with two or three bars; other ATT cell phone is fine so it is a T Mobile issue

T-Mobile

Need to add a satelite or cell tower to increase the signal in this area. If they did this all along the northern coast it would be top dollar on Oahu.

Absolutely horrible service! The alignment of the planets is near what you'd need to get a call out without dropping or failing. Data is even worse. Messages will send and receive with a minimum 20 minute delay! If you're looking for coverage anywhere near the area, look for another carrier.

AT&T

2 Out of 5 (2 stars) | South Shore Ewa To Waikiki, Honolulu, HI 96813 |

Phone reception is not bad but I stream online radio with several unrelated applications and it streams for about a minute, then drops and re-buffers. After about a minute it drops again and so on and so on.

Sprint

4 Out of 5 (4 stars) | Manoa, Honolulu, HI 96822 |

I actually have good reception with Sprint. I dont lose signal. My downloads are fast enough for me. Even when I travel to other sides of the island I have good reception... maybe it's my phone?? lol

Virgin Mobile via Sprint: Get error messages frequently telling me I'm offline - no connection. Forget uploading videos to Facebook, even pictures are a challenge for VM. Of course, battery life sucks - I have multiple charging sources and use them throughout the day. Ugh! Hoping competition gets better - looking for something that actually works affordably.

Sprint

1 Out of 5 (1 star) | Upper Nuuanu Along Pali Hwy. | Pali Hwy. at Oahu Country Club Rd., Honolulu, HI 96817 |

Very poor service. Voice service barely hangs on, and 3G data service is mostly non-existent. When data is working it is slow. 4G does not work at all, and 4G was the reason for using a Smartphone. Reception is also poor along the Red Hill area where I frequently drop calls. Makapuu into Waimalo is poor. Along the Windward side of the island up through the North Shore is also poor. West and Central Oahu coverage is OK though it is poor at the edges of communities. 4G drops frequently during the hours of 8:00 AM through about 9:30 PM at night, perhaps because of high usage periods. I have been a customer of Sprint now since 1999, primarily because they were the first all-digital cellular network carrier. Sprint service on the U.S. mainland is really great, especially the data networks. Here on Oahu it is rendered unusable at times. I am planning to migrate over to a GSM carrier such as AT&T or T-Mobile. That way international travel is made easier being on compatible networks.

AT&T

5 Out of 5 (5 stars) | Kuliouou Rd. | Kalanianaole Hwy., Honolulu, HI 96821 |

The reception in Kuliouou is amazing now that AT&T improved their coverage. We would check our friends and family phones to compare the coverage in our home but, Tmobile, Verizon and Sprint's signal was also 1-2 bars so we didn't switch because our home was the only place we had issues with coverage. But, not any more... ... We use our phones all over the island, AT&T have the best reception and fastest data speeds. Thank you AT&T!

Sprint

3 Out of 5 (3 stars) | Lunalilo Home Rd. | Hawaii Kai Dr., Honolulu, HI 96825 |

Neither great nor horrible reception. Coverage on the mainland is much better and Sprint doesn't have 4G here. Still, I only drop out in more remote locations like Makapuu. Otherwise, city coverage is adequate.

AT&T

1 Out of 5 (1 star) | Pauoa Valley Upper Booth Rd., Honolulu, HI 96813 |

Advised AT&T of reception issues in our area. Lots of antennas but none is providing a good signal into the upper portion of Booth Rd. Too many dropped calls and retries.

Sprint says unlimited, get ready for agony and despair and a waste of $200 a month, after I plead with Sprint to let me out of this no reception, No voice mail, only use my wifi as the 3g sucks. A corporate buthole says give us back 2 I phone 5 free. What I say we just paid $400 for these useless Sprint Iphone. Bad to worse to low life, Sprint is the lowest after 30 years with ATT wow what a mistake.

Sprint

1 Out of 5 (1 star) | Discovery Bay | Ilikai Hotel, Honolulu, HI 96815 |

I've been with Sprint for about 12 years and really stuck with them because they have always been reliable. I earn my living on my cell phone so reception is priority. For the last year I've been missing calls and getting a voice message an hour later. Also it tells me "Network Busy" 2-3 times a week when placing a call. The internet connection is RIDICULIOUSLY slow. I kid you not when I say it takes 1-2 minutes to load Yahoo.com. Planning to switch to Verizon or ATT or T-Mobile.

In the past 3 years Sprint has deteriorated to the point of being unusable and unreliable. I use my phone for work and regularly go over 1000 mins a month. I routinely get dropped calls, even in areas where the phone shows full bars. Voicemail and texts sometimes come in a full day late. Unlimited data is also a joke when most times I barely get a trickle of 3G. No one at Sprint can even give a RELIABLE estimate on when 4G LTE will be available here. The Now Network? Yes, I'm leaving. NOW.

I keep missing phone calls and text messages. It's upsetting because my work requires that they be able to contact me in emergencies. Also, I just now I realize I have 2 voice mails but no rings or missed calls! So I am considering forking over the xtra cash for Verizon and I'm a real smooge with cell phones and paying for cell service. The 4G works great when you are in a good location sometimes you just put the phone away tired of waiting for the screen to load.
