I get Full 5 / 5 bars of signal but calls drop often and are breaking up the whole time when they are holding on. I suspect it is due to interferrence since there are cell antennas on the building next to mine.

I love T-Mobile. Their customer service is great. I can get service almost anywhere on the island! My phone doesn't work in elevators, but that's just fine.

Coverage is pretty good but there are some spots where you will have drop calls in the following areas: Pali Hwy. - near reservior, just outside the tunnels town side, near the hairpin turn and near HPU; Likelike Hwy. just outside the tunnel town side and near overpass before Kalihi Valley.

My calls often go to voicemail instead of RINGING the phone. I get a missed call message on the phone. This occurs often when I am buildings and sometimes when I'm driving in Downtown.

Lots of dropped calls doing the turns on Sierra Drive, and above Hilo Dr.on Wilhelmina Rise.

Reception is spotty on Prospect travelling all around Punchbowl Crater. It is especially bad when travelling along Prospect from Ward down to Piikoi calls get dropped about 50% of the time. Reception is poor from my home in the 200 block of Prospect, where I have to walk around the house in order to find a place to stand where people can hear me.

I get poor reception here while standing at the corner of RSI looking at the lunch wagon. I am sure many other contractors who use Nextel are also complaining.

Going over the bridge my calls always loose reception. The bridge must suck up my cell phone signals. ;)

Who can I complain to - VErison service is so spotty in Honolulu and there is no way to report it.

Start conversations in Makiki going on Awaiolimu to Lusitania and into Booth - the phone service is sketchy. then goes dead. Sometimes you think you're carrying on then echo-o-o-oh...

This phone needs to be outdoors for reliable reception. Signal strength can be as high as 3 bars in the open. But indoors it drops to 1 bar or ZERO! You need to mount the phone on a table and jack in an earphone. Your mobility is reduced but you can avoid dropouts. My Blackberry has a cool stand that allows you to keep the phone stationary.

Almost perfect on base. In some areas of the PACAF building you will lose your signal but I haven't found a carrier that can deliver in all areas of this huge multi-walled building. Many time you will get a message alert even if you don't get the call in the building which doesn't happen with some other carriers. This way at least you know you have missed something. Otherwise Oahu coverage is great as is coverage while traveling on the Mainland.

OK out in the open but if you are in many of the buildings you will lose your signal.

I have lived in this area for a long time and rarely have problems. I talk on the phone and drive quite a bit and there is only one dead spot that I know of at the end of Wanaka Dr. Good service.

Just when you drive under the Papakolea Bridge, the cell signal cuts out.

I have had Verizon Wireless for 5 years. They are FANTASTIC. Great, customer service, and GREAT coverage too. I take that back. Not just GREAT coverage but AWESOME coverage. No exaggeration... I am able to get coverage in various parking garages around downtown Honolulu - Melim Tower, Harbor Court - in their elevators too! - and I even get coverage in their fire exits too. Overall, I've been very happy with Verizon (equpiment, coverage, etc.) for the entire 5 years I've been with them.

The stretch of road from the lighthouse to the lookouts, you'll have no service.

Right in the intersection you'll lose service and drop your calls most of the time.

Ranges from full to 1 bar depending where you place phone inside the house. Hardly ever drop calls or lose service.
