Terrible reception on both Verizon and AT&T, was bad on Sprint, too. Seem incapable of properly servicing the Kahaluu area.

I travel through Likelike to and from work. I can talk all the way through Pali and Likelike tunnels, but haven't been on the phone through H3 yet. I cruz around the island and usually get cut off for a few seconds around Kahana Bay and Kahuku. Cannot catch past Waianae area, but that was the same when I had T-mobile. Don't talk much while I'm driving through town. All in all, good reception where I need it.

I'd say TMobile has perfect reception, except there is ONE place on H-3 (dip in the road between KBay Dr.and Kamehameha, town-bound) that doesn't have coverage.

Sprint really sucks in hawaii. Verizon is da best it even works 15 miles out in the ocean in kaneohe. Verizon works in downtown, and in many buildings better than Sprint too.

If I'm on the lanai or standing at my front door I'll get reception on a good day.

My wife and I have GSM phones (Motorola mpx200) on the Oahu ATT network for (1) year now and we can't wait to go back to T-Mobile. When I bought the phones for $500 bucks each last year I thought we would be thoroughly impresed by all of the bells and whistles, however, the ATT coverage is so pathetic it was a complete disaster from beginning. Dead spots all over the island. Forget making calls from the Pali or H3 in almost any location. Windward side -- calls dropped in Kaneohe and Kailua everywhere. Very weak signal, if any, near the Kaneohe Yacht Club. I'm going back to a $50 Nokia phone from T-Mobile that actually makes and recieves tele calls -- what a concept!

I commute between Kaneohe and Honolulu taking the Pali Hwy everyday. T-Mobile works great in both Honolulu and Kaneohe. Driving on the Pali it also works pretty good. There used to be one dead spot right after the lookout when going to Windward but for some reason it has full coverage now. Don't know if it's due to my phone switch or expansion of T-Mobile network. I am one happy T-Mobile customer.

Good reception throughout Oahu, Hilo, and Kona. Don't use this service for a Notebook data connection -- it is not available. According to AT&T only GSM will handle data or fax calls. You will need to purchase a different phone if you want to use your phone for this. (This discovery was very upsetting!)

I've had really bad reception with Sprint and AT&T, but since switching to Verizon, it's been great (despite the occasional lost call in the tunnel).
