AT&T 2 Out of 5 Phone Model: LG L1100	Along the ocean you get reception. I noticed it can be as high as three bars and is much stronger than the Nextel signal down here (which I was surprised by). The Motorola phone doesn't have the same reception as the Nokia so I'm sure that's more the issue.

Verizon 0 Out of 5 Phone Model: any	I heard that Verizon is putting in a cell tower somewhere down the coast, south of Kalapana, somewhere near Volcano Nat'l Park, to provide service to lower Puna coast... with service scheduled to begin in January 2006. Is this true?

Nextel 0 Out of 5 Phone Model: i730	I was on the Big Island this weekend visiting family and most of the time, there was no signal. Then when I did get a signal and make a call, I get disconnected. Then I had to stand outside of the house and point the phone in different directions to see where I can get the best signal. I gave up! I ended up turning off the phone and turned it back on when I got to Keaau.
