Only issue is sometimes the phone will not ring when someone calls, then a couple of minutes later, the voicemail they left will come through. Rarely occurs, though.

Verizon has never been a problem, but it is just so expensive that I want to try another provider.

Our US Cellular phone is useless in our home and we live within 1-3 miles of 3 towers, one being less than a mile from us. We complained to our local dealer and they were no help. We pay $50 / month for something we can't use, what a waste! We bought it to call our daughter who is 10 minutes from us and the calls get dropped all the time! WHY????? We are ready to just cancel the thing and forget about it..

I get pretty good reception most places in Burlington. I actually have Amp'd Mobile which usually utilizes Verizon's network but also roams free on U.S. Cellular. I have made a few trips up to Iowa State and never lost coverage. I roamed a few times on U.S. Cellular. I think in Burlington I have always been on Verizon and never roamed. I usally get 4-5 bars around town. I can get 1-2 bars coverage in my basement and calls sound fine. I am thinking about getting I Wireless because they have some good plans and nights start at 5 pm but I am trying to figure out how good their coverage is mainly around the Burlington and Ames areas. I don't want to give up good coverage just to get better pricing.
