Signal varies in my house (1-3 bars 3G, 3-4 bars on Edge), but when I get outside and on the streets the signal jumps to 5 bars on 3G. Usually stays at full signal anywhere in Cedar Rapids.

EDGE coverage on lower level of house, 3G (UMTS) coverage on upper level of house. Signal varies from 1-5. Sometimes goes to emergency only coverage. Good service most of the time. High speeds for both EDGE and 3G. Good coverage throughout most of the city.

I have next to no reception at my home. It often take two or three attempts just to send a text message. Works better if I'm on the 2nd story of my house or outside, but 95% of the time it's "No Service" or one bar. However, it's been solid about everywhere else in town...

No reception at all inside of many buildings. Problems with dropped calls / sound quality in cars. Sometimes cannot even make a call when standing outside.

I have to walk outside on my deck to have a conversation. The reception is horrible until I get close to Collins rd.

I generally get only 2 to 3 bars no matter where I'm at, and most of the time worse. I actually called AT&T to complain, and my service actually got worse. Cingular used to give the best, clearest reception, but it's been down hill for the last 3 years or more. Bye, bye, AT&T.

Zero reception on Chester Rd. Phone doesn't even ring. Can only make emergency calls. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Garbled, choppy calls cant really use inside. iWireless has the same problem. USCelllular and Verizon aren't as bad, but still dont work well.

Cingular is in the process of their network integration on I-380 so reception will be choppy for a while

There is about a 12 mile stretch north of Mt. Pleasant with no service at all. The sony Ericsson phone is allmost 2 yrs. old it is hard to hear any conversation plus I get alot of background gargle while when talking

Outside of the store has good reception but inside its hardly useable

I made the mistake of switching from ATT to Cingular because I was told because if the buy out that I would need to switch plans. I have never had so many dropped calls in my life! I can't call from anywhere without having to make several attempts and dropping calls like crazy. I agree the customer service is poor as well. I am told to turn my phone off and remove the battery once a day. Now that is high tech for ya... I think walkie talkies have more technology than this service does.

Never had so many dropped calls. Even worse on the weekends late at nite. Customer Service conviently nonexistant on the weekends. Talked with other Cingular users and same complaints. I can walk around my house and the reception noticeably changes. As with consumer reports I plan to drop this carrier cause I can't use my minutes. I went on a road trip worst reception ever. I had US Cellular before, great reception, but expensive.
