Considering the LG 6000 is digital only, and South of Mt vernon rd is always a troublesome area. I have had absolutely no issues. With a tri-mode Verizon phone I dropped calls constantly.

Great coverage everywhere I've been in or around Cedar Rapids. Traveled south to Keokuk county and had great coverage. Traveled north to Mitchell county and had great coverage.

I've been with Verizon for almost 5 years now. The coverage has been good enough that I dropped my land-line service more than 3 years ago. This is also my third [different] phone. I've found that the choice of phones makes a major difference in the quality of the reception.

My hometown of Cedar Rapids, Iowa has better service on Verizon Wireless than Springfield, MA which is where I live Now. If traveing, dial *228 and select option 2 before you travel. The problem is Verizon Wireless is good in some citties and terrible in others. So when choosing a wireless provider, check this website for reviews on areas in which you live and travel.

Signal varies in my house (1-3 bars 3G, 3-4 bars on Edge), but when I get outside and on the streets the signal jumps to 5 bars on 3G. Usually stays at full signal anywhere in Cedar Rapids.
