Verizon service sucks in council bluffs

1-bar of H+ or 3G, or 5 bars of EDGE. WHY can't they put 3G on all their towers and not just half? WIth everyone using 3G towers, the EDGE towers don't get any use. AT&T is back where they were 5 years ago with coverage, this time it's 1 bar of 3G instead of 1 bar of EDGE. Ridiculous. Do they ever read these?

Verizon took our 3G service way from us Last July 2010. We had the best service for 8 years which is very important to our farming operation. We used to be Digital on their coverage map, now we are Talk and Text and that is now only 50% of the time. Every other call results in lost signal. We live 1.2 miles from a Verizon tower in Bellevue, Ne that we used until Verizon decided they will no longer direct their Nebraska towers into Iowa. Matters worse, they will not make any deals with the companies that have cell towers in Mills and Fremont counties in Iowa. Verizon chose to kick us to the curb. Sprint and AT&T have no plans for 3G in this area of southwest Iowa. We have 2 iPhones,1 Blackberry and 2 older phones. We can no longer call each other when only 1 / 2 a mile apart. I can't understand why the older phones are effected the most. Very dissapointed with Verizon taking away our signal.

3 to 4 bars is what I usually get, sometimes 2 in the basement. Very good for the area in which I live (we're behind a big hill). AT&T has not been able to provide dependable service from my home, so I switched to Virgin Mobile on the assumption they used Sprint towers. I can even make calls from my basement. Highly recommend Virgin Mobile. It's good enough I canceled my land line.

AT&T does not get coverage well enough in this neighborhood to use as a dependable phone service. If you want your cell to be your primary phone, it's useless. I switched to Virgin Mobile (Sprint), and now I can make calls even from my basement!

Get decent signal majority of the time. Never had a drop call in this area. Verizon is the best.

Like I posted, I switched to Verizon today, and wow what a difference. The service is great all over the city and my house. The customer service people were very nice and helpful. I love my BlackBerry and my data is faster then it was on Sprint. I have some friends who are about to switch to Verizon from AT&T and Sprint, too.

My contract is up! I'm so sick of Sprint and the customer service! They are horrible! Don't waste your time with them. I'm switching my business and 5 personal lines to Verizon today.

Barely works outside the mall - reverts to Cingular. Inside the mall - NO SERVICE.

Works good in the West part of town. Very poor on the East side of town. Outside the Mall of the Bluffs, the phone switches to Cingular or has no service with 5 bars (sees Cingular but won't register). Inside the mall it's totally NO SERVICE. Here's the catch... .I've initiated a call outside the mall, when it was on Cingular and was able to keep the call throughout the inside of the mall. Once I terminated the call, the phone said NO SERVICE. Complaints to T-Mobile resulted in "here's your trouble ticket number". A year later, no results. Once my contract is up, they're history! Most places I've been in Omaha are NO SERVICE. Everywhere else I've been in the country I've had pretty good service with T-Mobile, but if they can't fix their network in this town, they're history.

My business requires me to travel around the entire Omaha metro area. I recently had Cingular with a Motorola v220 and very rarely got decent reception. After switching to Verizon and the Motorola v710 I have never had a problem with getting a signal.

I live on E Graham and get little to no service. To get OK reception I have to be outside, but in my home??... .I have to be near a window! Although I get good reception almost all over town, now the grocery stores are another story!

Absolutely no coverage on Ivy Drive / Broadway for Cingular phones. Cingular can do nothing about this.

Signal bounces constantly... used to be perfect (until about a year ago or so), but now it's horrible.

there is like two places in this school where you get good reception.. and I dont like that at all... .

No reception North and East of Omaha past Big Lake Park.
