Worked in a building off of 5050 Park Ave. for a month; no Verizon connection. Phone was using US Cellular extended network. Come on Verizon; this building is just 500 feet from an international airport, and you have no connection at all?

Driving through this intersection, Verizon has no signal at all. Less than 1,000' from the 2 busiest interstate highways in the country, in the middle of a metro area of 700,000; come on Verizon!

No reception at the bottom of the hill on South Union and Park Ave. Be careful if you live in this low lying area. Seldom had reception issues with T-Mobile... NEVER should have switched to Verizon! Dropped calls ALL the time for 2 years now!

US Cellular states they have tested and we should have good coverage with at least 2 bars inside the house. We can't even get 2 bars outside the house and have 0 bars inside. My son has Verison and my daughter a Boost Mobile phone and they never have issues with reception or dropped calls or anything. I don't know what carrier to switch to after being a customer of us celluar for years and they don't seem to give a crap. Their phones have been disappointing as well and the insurance is a joke and you get refurbished phones that are crap.

Reception is always good. 4g has worked intermittently recently. I used to have US Cellular, which worked very well, and I am very happy with Sprint and my Evo 3d.

I love Sprint! I've had no problems with them and I have been given excellent customer service (which a lot of people seem to say otherwise, but perhaps they are being bad customers by not controlling their tempers? Just a thought... can't say whether that is true or not)... Anyways... In Des Moines I have only two troublesome spots: The first being on the first floor of the hotel I work at (but on the other three floors I get perfect signal!) and whenever I'm in the Jordan Creek Town Center area... texts and calls incoming and outgoing are fine, but when I access data, it's as if it just crawls slower than 2G speeds! The Sprint authroized retailer employee in JCTC is aware of this, but nothing has been improved. But to be fair, I was at Jordan Creek today and the speeds were moving along rather fine (Foursquare was working at tip-top whereas most of the time at JCTC it barely works... ) Other than that, I have EXCELLENT coverage with Sprint! I would rather have Sprint than Verizon or US Cellular, but I have to say when I had AT&T (Cingular; January 2006-December 2009), it worked perfectly in Des Moines, no matter where I went! But I switched to Sprint because my work location has Sprint (2G only, unfortunately) but not AT&T (roaming partner GSM coverage).

Phone is great, but the NETWORK crackles and varies, no matter what, usually one bar... despite being claimed a perfect zone by the network coverage map. Avoid Sprint network here. Fie on them, Fie I say!

Virtually no reception, despite a positive deep green on the reception map... the network is Sprint. Avoid. The phone works great, and where coverage is good, the phone performance is excellent. It is the network that should be avoided. Fie on them, Fie! Fie!

I was so sick of all the drop calls on AT&T. A friend of mine switched to Verizon and said he had no problems, so I switched my 4 lines to Verizon. I have to say, it was a very smart move. I have not had any drop calls. The service is strong, and the 3G covers more then AT&T does.

I live near a Sprint tower. Not right next store, but I can see the tower outside my window quite easily... . I barely get reception. To be fair, I've never had a dropped call. One or two bars at most is pretty typical. Even around town. Sometimes in the mornings, my phone won't connect with the towers and I cannot make calls.

I get great coverage with US Cellular. With my old Blackberry, I almost never got fewer than 3 bars, usually had 5. With my HTC Touch Pro, the antenna isn't nearly as good, so I average 3-4.

Again, I love updating my posts :P. Anyways... I'm at the AIB College of Business in Des Moines, Iowa and I'm SO glad I get service now! No more driving three to five miles outside of town to check to see if I have text messages ugh... but Churdan STILL has no coverage. Now that I have service (amazingly in Des Moines in some buildings such as the Wal-Mart I work at, it does not work 80% of the time in the back of the building... but not NEARLY as bad as reception you get in buildings in Mankato, MN!) It's just nice that I can be reached anywhere at anytime now! I am still a loyal Cingular fan and will continue to be :-).
