According to a Free text message I got today on my phone from AT and T. They have added a new tower at Guthrie Ave and SE 14th st in Des Moines, Iowa

Good reception here after a restore to factory defeats and NOT restoring by back from the 2g phone. No 3g however. Hopefully someday soon. 10 / 10 / 2008.

no bars go to grays lake 2 bars tried 4 different model of phones dropped Sprint and went with Cingular biggest mistake I ever made. family member died and recieved voicemail 6 hours after the fact

Again, I love updating my posts :P. Anyways... I'm at the AIB College of Business in Des Moines, Iowa and I'm SO glad I get service now! No more driving three to five miles outside of town to check to see if I have text messages ugh... but Churdan STILL has no coverage. Now that I have service (amazingly in Des Moines in some buildings such as the Wal-Mart I work at, it does not work 80% of the time in the back of the building... but not NEARLY as bad as reception you get in buildings in Mankato, MN!) It's just nice that I can be reached anywhere at anytime now! I am still a loyal Cingular fan and will continue to be :-).

I can't believe I have thousands or rollover minutes with Cingular! The reason is I can't make any call from either my home or my office. The only way if you want to make a call is to go out to a street. It's a 100% aweful service. The biggest mistake I made was they traped me by signing 2 years contract with me. With my personal experience, do not do the two following things: 1. DO NOT sign up with Cingular if you live in Des Moines. You will regret it. 2. DO NOT sign 2 years contract with any cell company. Give yourself a chance so you can cacel it sooner if you don't like it.

my wife and I got rid of our land line and it turns out that with Cingular that was a colossal mistake. neither of us get any reception inside of our house. especially with my wife's phone, almost every call she gets while in the house cuts off halfway through the call. would not reccommend Cingular to ANYONE.

I live right and cannot keep a phone call on line for more than 5 -10 minutes without it dropping. Often I get voicemails after I leave the house that have been missed. South of the interstate is fine but can't get anything north until after College Ave / Franklin Ave.

Varies inside the mall, but never looses service. Only seen it go as low a 3 bars.

Since Cingular took over ATT - have had absolutely awful recption any where but my home which is second floor on top of big hill! Phone is always cutting in and out when and if I finally get two or three bars. Can't wait for this contract to be up! Again, this has only been since Cingular took over ATT Wireless. I had Cingular in St. Louis when I lived there with no problem whatsoever so am very disappointed that their services have declined as they have..

Rarely have any reception problems in the metro area. Usually 4-5 bars everywhere. :)
