All over Newton I almost always have full bars even get service in awl-mart and hyvee. Few dead spots in my house. Its old and I have a verry strong router which interferes w it. I-80 from grinell to colfax does switch you between towers 3 or 4 so u may loose calls there due to the towers. Basically Newton doesn't have 3g but most of i80 does. I set mine to home only to avoid problems w bouncing from tower to tower. U can also set it to digital only to avoid problems comeing in and out if town.

3 bars at most are achieved for a few seconds, but mostly it is zero to one bars with perhaps a 2-5 minute wait for a connection that once achieved is usually stable. But when done with that call it will likely be another 2-5 minute wait for reconnect.

Never had a dropped call in or around Newton, just halfway to DM it switches to extended service and there's a 3 or 4 mile black hole while it switches.
