Poor reception everywhere. Dropped calls in my apartment. No internet connection even when on data roaming. Can't even make your phone a wifi hotspot. Living here sucks!

I-Wireless uses AT&T GSM towers and I use AT&T (I'm also a former I-Wireless user). Signal is good in town and main roads like I-380 / US-20, IA218 and the like. Outside those less common routes it becomes poor and spotty.

Have had Sprint for over 5 yrs and has gotten better all the time - I'm a contractor and have had really no problem going to small towns etc. Have a cabin at Holiday lake by Tama Iowa and last 3 yrs have had excellent service even in this rural area. Gene

I had great service with Verizon until summer. No or very poor service in smaller towns and rural areas. In W'loo or C / F the coverage has gone downhill. Many dropped calls in my office and in my home. I definitely will switch to a better carrier when my contract is up!

Sprint / Nextel have completely ignored cities which are not comparable to Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Louis and other larger cities in the Midwest. Since the debacle the company encountered involving their merger; service has been horrible. I typically have to use my Bluetooth earpiece while leaving the Treo in a signal area. This is typical in most areas in the surrounding zip codes. I am seeking a different carrier.

Started with US Cellular years ago. Switched to Verizon... fell for the ploy of cool phones. Several times, we were billed incorrectly. We don't really use our phones much. One month, we opened our Verizon bill which was $415! Got sick of the misbills and spotty service. Back to US Cellular and almost always have clear reception. Choice of phones is limited, but will sacrifice for consistency of service.

I've had this flip phone for two years and drive a lot in rural areas. Reception is excellent in town and on all major highways. The only spot it drops off is at the bottom of large valleys on rural roads far away from main roads. I'd say overall 95% great reception and maybe 5% fair.

I have reception no matter when I am at in Waterloo, almost never lost it when between towns either, if anything it goes down a few bars. Calls are always clear.
