I never really had a problem with service. Maybe a few drop calls cuz sometimes my phone switches towers. But thats maybe once every 3 months... I love the service that AT&T provides. Out does everything I know

I'm between two towers for AT&T (Cingular) and my signal bounces back and forth between them. I end up with poor reception and constantly have dropped calls. They deny it and tell me I have great coverage (according to their maps), and that I should just turn off my phone everyday to get the updates. When they tell you this it is pure garbage and they are just stalling you. When I talked to a local company that specializes in repeaters they gave me the real story right off the bat and put me in contact with somebody who could really help.

Generally very good in this area, including parts of Hill Road, State St.into town. There seems to be a dead zone somewhere along Veterans Parkway. Have been generally very satisfied with coverage with infrequent drooped calls.

I have to walk out side almost all the way to the curb to get reception, If I need to talk to someone, I just go outside. This would be acceptable if my fiancee's T-Mobile had the same problem... . geuss it's time to switch! Other than at my house the service rocks tho!

When using the Cingular network at my house (near Five Mile and Edna) I might as well not have the phone. It's a vortex of nothingness... sure the phone rings SOMETIMES (missed calls are common because it often fails to ring), but *IF* it rings and the call is taken, it's either choppy to the point the caller cannot be heard or the call just dies. It doesn't matter which model the phone is... . every Cingular customer who visits has poor reception at this location no matter what model of phone they have. Other Cingular issues: Bad echos when traveling out of state, choppy signal downtown in Boise.

Overall, very good reception. Rarely do I drop a call or have less than 3 bars of service.

New cell phone towers going up all over the place. Companies buying each other out. Third phone, each one costing more, but you get what you pay for.

My reception is now excellent. They must have installed a new tower or upgraded one nearby. Only about a month ago, my best reception at my residence was in the center of the house, in the bathroom. Very frustrating when you use your phone for business. However, now it is perfect, a constant full coverage. I sure hope it's not a fluke!

I have had Cingular for the last 7 months and I have never dropped a call. I love the service and I have been very happy with the reception and the costumer service. I recomend Cingular to all my friends.

AT&T / Cingular: Reception has taken a horrible decline since company merger. Traded a V600 in for a V551 thinking it may have been the phone and at the recommendation of Cingular support only to find the new phone no better. Cingular customer service has proved unhelpful. They recommended changing to a Cingular phone but would not guarantee better coverage. I have witnessed a decline of reception in popular mountain communitees in the area as well. I will be cancelling my Cingular contract and changing to Verizon. I expect not to pay a penalty since Cingular can not seem to provide service to my house in the middle of our wide valley in Boise.

reception stinks in my apt. unless near windows. Everywhere else is great.

Every since AT&T Wireless was taken over by Cingular, the reception in this area has been poor. Make a compliant to the FCC. I did and Cingular gave me a 10% discount over my current montly fee.

The reception here is very poor. I drop calls all the time and can barely get reception to receive phone calls.

GSM phone was nice the reception wasnt.

Great reception with AT&T / Cingular all over Boise, and in many more places in Idaho than many of my friends who use different carriers - in McCall, for example. Still no reception in the canyons, however (thank gawd).

Signal is always strong, but I still have to find the right place in the house to talk. One wrong move, and the call is dropped.

i get no reception to 1 bar at home but constantly dropping calls all over town, even in the center of town... customer service sucks and is deceiving, will upgrade a plan by phone but when internet didnt work on my phone they wouldnt down grade and said I had to go to store to down grade and they never open until 10am so almost impossible to get to the store during work week

Cricket is a rip off on reception outside downtown Boise. I have even had no reception right outside their store on Milwaukee. I feel that it is a waste of my money.

i work at eds and have never had a problem with cricket. sounds like a phone issue to me!

At home, at work (near the Mall), at Wal-Mart (all the way back by the eggs yet... ) I get great reception. One call in 50 might drop at some point, or make a noise. Fixed price great. Since Sept. 2001 I have had phone service with Cricket. It does seem to take them forever to process checks sent to them in mail... You really need to send in a full week before due date... They need to clean up their act on this... Calling card works fine for rare long distance call. Have heard some complaints from others at office... Suggest that anyone contemplating Cricket borrow phone for a few days and try in all likely spots and consider needs (drive to Mt. Home every day? Then forget it... )
