Ad of last week I had been getting great reception while at work. All of a sudden now, I can't even get edge! Dd something happen recently to impact AT&T coverage? Will I notice an improvement soon?

Inside the house reception is iffy at best. We also have aluminum siding which might be a factor. Once outside things get better and overall in the area I'd say we get as good or better reception as anyone else I've compared... however, Addison definitely needs some more towers. Cingular in Chicago is pretty good overall I'd be interested to know if anyone has recently upgraded to a new ATT or Cingular phone - and what the results were... We are all looking for stronger signals.

Nextel does a decent job at most places but it sucks cause I have to reboot my phone one in a while. Anyone know when the new i930 will be out? They say February but I wont hold my breathe.

I have Nextel and all that i have to say is that it is the best along with T-Mobile. The Best!

I have had Sprint for 8 months, having switched from Nextel and my overall satisfaction level is good. I have noticed in the Lombard and Geneva areas that where Nextel didn't have service or would drop, Sprint doesn't. At times when my phone is sitting on my desk at work, calls do go right into my voicemail, where with Nextel, that never happened. I have a friend with Sprint who has an LG phone and he experiences much worse drops and call quality. My wife and I each have Sanyos and feel like they've done us well. Is the reception and service perfect? No. Is it better than Nextel? I'd say its close, with Nextel offering slightly better quality and Sprint a larger service area. Most of my experiences are out in the western burbs, but at Midway and Ohare, Sprint was just fine. Also, at Wrigley it was fine. Lastly, riding the train downtown to a Bears game, it was fine on the train, though spotty at times, fine at Union Station and spotty walking to Soldiers Field.

I use my T-Mobile phone all around my area, Addison, Elmhurst, Oak Brook, Bloomingdale, and Glen Ellyn. The only place that I get a weaker single / 2 bars is in big builings (The Oak Brook Terrace Tower) and in my kitchen at our breakfast nuk.
