AT&T reception sucks in this area - Barrington, Palatine, Hoffman Estates, Inverness area. My son's feature phone doesn't get much reception either.

Very poor reception for the past 4 weeks since the tower on Main street went down and was repaired. Signals are 50% of strength in the past. No service in many parts of my home now. Very disappointed in service and customer service states all is normal.

Sound often garbled, esp inside. Moving to door helps only sometimes. Pretty unusable.

Get pretty good reception. Except at around NW Hwy. and Ela. Some days no dropped calls other days yes. Have had Verizon for about six years and it is the best carrier with the reception that I need despite some dead areas.

Us Cellular has perfect reception for Barrington, Lake Zurich, Deer Park, Killdeer, Palatine and into Chicago others. Never a dropped call.. Only thing is that they don't have the best phones but if your looking for a phone just to make calls and text, and check emails, then US cellular is fine. for the same areas, I've also had Verizon which was also very good.

I've lived here since 2006 and have had great signal and no dropped calls with my Verizon. I transferred service from T-Mobile (poor reception).

We call the stretch of Route 59 from Miller Road down to south of Route 22 into Barrington proper the "Dead Zone". I don't know about the other carriers, but T-Mobile coverage is not poor, it's non-existent.

I often has no or very bad reception inside. It's hard to use cell phone outside in a cold weather, which will last 6 months.

I've lived in South Barrington and Lake Barrington my entire life and I'm sick of having to leave my house / neighborhood to use my cell phone. I've tried Sprint, Cingular, and Verizon Wireless, all with poor to no reception. The lack of cell phone towers effects all of the Barrington area. When is something going to be done about this?
