Can't get reliable reception in my own house, but okay everywhere else in town. This is a business phone and I need a solution to this. Also, since I switched to an i-phone from Blackberry, I drop 3 times as many calls during my travels. Might go back to the Blackberry, but that won't help the reception.

My reception in town is okay to good, except for my house. It varies from below average to zero, and varies in strength from day to day and times of the day. I have to ask people to call on my home phone frequently. I'm very unhappy, and need to find a solution for this. This phone is for business, and I rely heavily on it.

Picked up my first T-Mobile phone. Phone is great but data connection is very low. Phone says 2G most of the time. Sometimes it says 4G but speed test is around 200 KBps. Not worth it for Bloomington, Peoria has better T-Mobile Coverage. AT&T has the fastest data in Bloomington right now and Verizon is due to upgrade here soon.

4-6 bars of service and voice quality is great; however data is unusable in this area. I did a speed test due to web pages taking 5 or more minutes to load; and pandora, youtube, or any streaming service... ... forget it. The speed tests range from 20-50 kbps most days during peak hours. If you need a good data service, don't use Sprint in this area. I have called tech support about the issue as our business has 3 phones and all of them have the same issue and they just transfer you around until you finally give up and they seem to have no plans of fixing the problem.

No Data Connection eventhou the phone says 3G with 4 Bars... T-Mobile Sucks... Uselessly paying $30 for Data Plan...

Texts always go through, calls dropped once at most. I don't recall any dropped calls, but I cant say it hasnt happened. Sprint works great all around town. The lowest bar number I ever get is like 3 maybe if it's in an iffy spot.

Inconsistent -- Sometimes ok, but often poor

I have very good reception here, but we have noticed driving around Bloomington / Normal that there are good spots and bad spots. Repeption depends on a lot of things: carrier, phone, surroundings, towers, building construction, etc., many of which change frequently.

T-Mobile reception sucks! Calls constantly drop in Bloomington-Normal in various locations. Usually average 1 to 2 bars, rarely any higher. Voices on other end of the phone sound muffled at times and cut in and out.

Signal is great when closer to the city. Out in far east Bloomington the signal is not so good. There are certain rooms in my house that I can't talk in. Also in my garage I can't talk on the phone. There is a completely dead zone around the Freedom gas station where my phone doesn't work at all, neither does my wife's. With all the new homes and businesses going up in the area and an interstate ramp in the plans for Towanda-Barnes and I-74, I would hope that Nextel is planning to fix this issue.

Nextel always a strong signal at Corporate South, even underground.

Good reception at my house off of E. Oakland. Decent coverage throughout town. I can even make a call outside of Mackinaw, just not inside the town. Coverage at SF Corporate South is awful - some pockets are good, others, not so much.

Almost no service. I have almost no service anywhere in town.

T-Mobile does not work inside State Farm Corporate South premises (esp the building at the South)

I cannot receive any signal in my basement. However Sprint, Cingular and Verizon works. I have not tried others.

Verizon services is very good in most part of Bloomington-Normal. Esp at work in State Farm buildings where T-Mobile sucks. Cingular is also fine. But Verizon rules.

i bought a Verizon pre-paid phone in new jersey. I moved to georgia, aned the service was alright, with no problems. now i'm in arkansas, (pine bluff) and my phone has gone into the twighlight zone. I can't make any calls, and I can freceive them. my ring tones changed all by themselves, and whenever I gtry to make a call, the computer generateed voice tells me to re-dial the number, and do not press send. how can I make a call without pressing send ? I can't wait to either get out of arkansas, or get me another phone carrier. Verizon is the pits... .

Very happy with reception in Bloomington / Normal area. Have all 5 bars showing inside my house. Have more trouble in Chenoa and Gridley area. We have traveled all over the nation and reception is usually very good. I traded from an all digital model which dropped calls constantly to the V265 model over a year ago. The V265 has even made calls with zero bars showing in rural areas.

Average Reception here. Unlike many Sanyo models that cheat by padding the readout, the 7400 tends to show accurate reception ratings on the screen. My reception around Bloomington / Normal is usually average to above average.
