I have T-Mobile and I love it I have had Cingular for 6 years and switched to sprint, but then didn't like thier service. Now I'm trying T-Mobile and I got to say it is the best company I ever used.

Biggest negative is price. ATT $120 / month (unlimited talk,text,messaging) Boostmobile $50 / month - decreases $5 / month for each 6 months "ontime" payments PLUS, of course, (unlimited talk,text,messaging - with no throttlling. Good bye ATT (finally) and hello Boost Mobile!

As a long time Sprint customer, I'm used to the ups and downs. However, I purchased an iphone4 in early May 2012, and returned it in less than ten days. It was virtually worthless. Without exaggeration, I was not able to complete ONE SINGLE CALL over 30 seconds long. It either dropped the call, or I couldn't hear the person talking, though they could hear me. Data access was very spotty, texting poor or unavailable, voicemails never delivered. The Sprint Rep., (13 years with the company) told me that the customer cancellation rate was in the hundreds. Supposedly, Sprint is updating their tower network in the Chicago area. I was told mid-June, but I highly doubt that is possible.

The reception in the Carol Stream SUCKS! Lot of dropped calls especially in the house. The only area I get some reception is in my back yard. I really don't want to stand out side in the winter months just to make calls.

I never dropped calls until I lived here, I've had USCellular for years in the middle of nowhere with no problems. For a few weeks I got an LG phone and it was so bad I switched right back to my clunky old Nokia-- the LG was dropping every call I made in my apartment. Neighbors told me they couldn't even get calls in their apartment. If you have bad reception here, don't blame the phone / carrier, it's the area.

In a nutshell get over the beepee beepee aspect of the phone. Reception countrywide stinks. Drop calls are frequent. No reception is the norm. This isn't a great family plan either since it's not free among users of Nextel or family members with Nextel. Switching in a month! I spoke to the tech at Nextel and they said towers were not in the areas I frequent most, towers being built but no date. Can't comment on the Spring merger which I don't think will help much. Customer service is at it's lowest for a cell phone carrier trying to compete out in this marketplace.
