Have been getting VERY poor reception over the past few weeks. Along with many others in the neighborhood, who have AT&T service, we are frustrated and thinking of changing carriers because of this.

I generally get good reception in the Cary - Crystal Lake area, but there is one spot right around the intersection of Rt 14 and Rt 22 in FRG where reception is garbage. I've heard that other carriers also experience poor reception here. I can walk around in the Dominick's at the corner and have my phone bouncing in and out of service.

I had T-Mobile and the phone worked great-switched to Cingular for a better plan (big joke) and the service sucks. Calls are dropped,no reception, no bars, call failed error messages, etc. Can't wait to get rid of cingular!

Reception is decent (avg + / - 3 bars) all along Rt. 22 except in areas just outside of Lake Zurich (I commute Lincolnshire to Cary every day). I very rarely drop calls. My only major gripe with USCC is their lack of innovation in phones.

Rawson Bridge, Cary, IL 60013 |

Considering that travelers have limited options as to how to cross the Fox River, many people get funneled across Rawson Bridge in Cary. I understand that the River Valley would naturally be a tougher spot for reception however Sprint PCS seems to have the worst reception and highest number of dropped calls. This is an area I travel frequently and have had every attempted call dropped within 1.5 miles of the bridge on either side.
