Phone virtually unusable except to make calls with bad reception. Can't send pic texts. I called to complain 5x and finally- after demanding the CEO's email info I got s $40 credit. Big deal. They claim 3G is coming here July 11 2011. We'll see.

Cingular now provides GSM coverage down here through Cellular One, coverage is alright providing anywhere from 2-6 bars throught the greater Charleston area (including EIU). Once somebody gets closer to the outskirts of town on the East / SouthEast side coverage drops off significantly to almost nothing.

GSM is horrible. It doesn't exist here, the old towers are picked up though by older Cingular phones.

Almost everytime I try to hold a conversation, I get disconnected whether it's in town or in the country. Supposedly their reception and service was going to be excellent with the new towers and new phones. They're worse. The service used to be good but the last 3 years it has seriously went downhill. As soon as my contract's up, I'm going elsewhere. They are full of empty promises.

I have no problems in Charleston / Mattoon, however when I drive to Champaign I hit dead spots near Tuscola and Pesotum. I hope I never have a flat tire there!

For the last 5 or 6 days, could not make or receive any phone calls in my 3G phone. I have spoken many times with the clerks in T Mobile, they tried, did not fixed the problem. Finally, the last technical support person I spoke with, clearly understood the situation, and suggested that reception in this area is very poor with 3G, to change my phone to 2G. As soon as I made the change, all problems were gone. I don't believe I miss the 3ag network. The only problem is my son's phone in not working and he cannot make any network changes, so he is using an older model. I hope that when AT&T takes over things change.

Great reception from Verizonwireless in this area. Other things to say for the KX414 features though.
