This phone is only good in areas with strong digital signals only! In areas with three bars and less, the signal is chopped and you cannot distinguish what anyone is saying. Quite often, all you get is a message alert. When you try and get the message you cannot make a connection.

Almost perfect reception for 8 mile radius. Even in building and lower levels of bi-level homes is great too.

T-Mobile now gets great reception in Chatham, including prepaid. Some service has been added since last reception was reported and now I regularly get 5 bars (I use to get 0-1).

No service with T-Mobile in Chatham area, got to be near woodside road going toward springfield for service. Works great in Springfield though.

Rarely have any drops with this phone or previous Samsung here or anywhere else in the Springfield area. Judging by the number of complaints about AT&T compared to Verizon, looks like I won't be switching anytime soon. I marked "3 - Average" because its 2 bars of 4 max, not 5. As for data, 4G just fired up in this area but it appears I live on the fringe so at this location, at least for now, it's nearly always 3G.
