I think I pay way too much for the service I get. Even when my phones shows a full range of reception it drops down and moves all around and often drops calls in my apartment. I had the 3G iphone and switching to a Nokia has helped but has not solved the problem or walking around outside having calls dropped. I am thinking about switching to Sprint when the Pre comes out. I would avoid At&t.
I hate ATT, I feel incredibly cheated for signing up for 2 years and paying $90 a month for the iphone and not getting anything close to decent service. IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT GOING TO AT&T, THINK TWICE
AT&T should be ashamed of their coverage in a major metropolitan city like Chicago. I switched from Sprint (Blackberry Pearl) with PERFECT service to AT&T for the iPhone with HORRIBLE reception at home and even mixed reception at work in the Loop (Randolph and Lake). AT&T's coverage is sporadic at best and goes from mediocre on good days to worse. I had no choice but to select AT&T because I really wanted th iPhone. The iPhone is an incredible piece of hardware at Apple should get all over AT&T for their horrible implementation of 3G service in Chicago. I thought monopoly was illegal and think the FCC should investigate AT&T's horrible service. If you are thinking of switching to AT&T in Chicago -- THINK TWICE!
Three of us on the same plan and none of us get reception. If we are lucky to get a call through, it drops within a minute. Everyone needs to print all 55 pages on this website and mail the complaints to the Better Business Bureau. It appears that 95% of complaints on this site are related to AT&T. This is unacceptable. They are stealing our money.
No service in every room of my apartment unless the iPhone is placed on the living room window sill... and then all I get (if I'm lucky) is one tiny little bar of coverage. AT&T, this is ridiculous!
My office is on east side of LaSalle, on the corner of Wacker. Reception is usually zero bars / No Service; if I get reception, calls are frequently dropped.
TERRIBLE to no reception. I live in a high rise apartment and might as well throw my cell phone away. I cannot place calls or receive them. If the call does go through, it is almost guaranteed to drop within 50 seconds. I have been to Verizon and they have nothing to say about it. Verizon updated the software on my phone claiming it would solve all my problems... ... ... .it definitely did NOT. I would stay away from Verizon at all costs. Plus their customer service is sub par
