AT&T service is impossible here. It sems every other carrier works but theirs. Even worse in the stores in the area. Constantly roams to Cingular, and still rarely works. Been with AT&T 4 years and it has gotten even worse.

AT&T pretty much sucks everywhere in Chicago. Go with T-Mobile or Verizon.

The reception here is perfect. I love it since I changed my phone. I used to have Sanyo SCP-5500 and changed it to Toshiba VM4050.

Major problems trying to make calls. Most calls are not recieved. I get cut off on a great majority of the calls I make.

Great reception with T-Mobile, even indoors (4-5). I'm really glad I switched! With AT&T (TDMA) I'm not even getting a signal inside my apartment most of the time.

Nextel is the best of Chicago. Verizon is could almost beat Nextel if it wasn't for there freak of nature call drops.

I am in downtown Chicago and my phone keeps oscillating between Roaming and US Cellular. CS tell me that its because i am picking up signal of a carrier with which they have roaming agreement! Why do they need roaming agreement in Chicago if they claim to provide service here? Also shouldn't the phone be programmed to pick UScc before any other carrier?

Ok reception outside about 2-3 signal bars but inside the house I have only 1 signal bar and lots of dropped calls and lots of static. I have average reception everywhere else but inside the house. Somedays I just want beat my cell with a bat, and forget about making long-distance calls, I'd be lucky if I actually had a connection but when I do get threw it sounds like im under water if anyone can hear me at all.
