I like this company because I get a perfect signal on my phone even if I am in the basement it has at least 4 bars unlike T-Mobile they drop so many calls I'm glad I switched to AT&T

T-Mobile is AMAZING in this area. All bars, ALL the time. I had to leave AT&T because of poor service in the area. I recommended to anybody. 4G service is excellent

I love Virgin Mobile! Service everywhere! My family has T-Mobile and they can't get service in the CTA Subway Red Line! My service at home great with 5 bars sometimes 6

I've been amazed at how great the service is in west Lake View. full bars and reception has been perfect. 3G speeds are great too, averaging around 3.50 mbps. Rock on.

I live in a ground floor apartment in the back of a house in Pilsen and I have never had a problem with reception on any of my U.S. Cellular phones. Actually, anywhere I've gone in the city or out of town, I've never had a problem getting reception or dropping calls or disconnection.

From what I've experience and heard from friends - those using T-Mobile and those not using - it's the best in Chicago

the best phone ever, customer service its awesomeeee I love that company and their new belief project especially no contract after first one and I can upgrade my phone every 12 months, did not have any dropped calls since I switched from AT&T YEY ! definitely worth the price ;)

I'm using US Cellular for 3 years so far and never a had problem with both connection and service. I highly recommend US Cellular for those who is looking for a good reception as a the number one thing. I was travelling around the States and I didn't have problems with the service. As for T-Mobile (my husband has it), it isn't as good as US Cellular. But the reception also depends on the kind of phone you have. My friends has noticed more problems with I-phones and better with regular or flip phones.

hands down, the best service I have ever had. been with US Cellular for 4 years and dropped calls are rare if not non-existent. I have the nationwide calling plan so roaming is free: no matter where I go I have no LESS than 3 bars. there is no comparison to T-Mobile and Verizon (my previous carriers), call quality is better and customer service is superb. i'm so excited we're getting new (& better!) phones in november. i say take US Cell up on their offer, try 'em for 30 days - you'll be happy like me!

I have used US Cellular for 3 years and am completely satisfied with the service and reception. I never drop calls. I used to lose calls all the time in my apartment when I had Verizon. If I took one step, the call dropped. Now, with US Cellular, I NEVER lose a call. I can walk anywhere in my building and even ride the elevator all the way down to the first floor and never lose a call. I am very happy with the service. I am so happy that I canceled my land line and my mobile phone is the only phone that I have. If you want a reliable service provider, then I highly recommend US Cellular. Save yourself the cash and drop the land line. The only drawback is that they don't stock a great variety of new phones, but I'm willing to overlook that for the quality of the service.

Full bars no matter where I am in my apartment. No reception problems or dropped calls in or around the Gold Coast area in the month I've had the iPhone 4 on AT&T.

Never have Verizon coverage problems in the Chicago area. Every now and then the phone makes a sound and abruptly drops service but I think it is phone or system update related because the phone makes a sound first. Also works well inside buildings and even my basement at home, although, my Blackberry Pearl was even better. Verizon's expensive and phones other than the Incredible are lame. This has me considering leaving.

With T-Mobile's UMA (Wifi) calling... I can get reception anyway as long as there's wifi.. This is amazing

Sprint is the best! Excellent service, never dropped calls. The choice of phones suck, but if you need to make calls... Sprint is the answer. Their 4G service is up in Chicago, also. I can't wait for the new 4G smart phone from HTC.

I've had Sprint for over 10 years. It's the only carrier that works well in the three locales I need it to: Chicago, DC, and Green Bay / Door Co WI and all points between. My reception at home could be better (not good in the basement) but I've never dropped a call and I get five bars everywhere in Chicago and suburbs. No complaints. I tried Verizon last Fall and their cell service was good but their customer service was terrible and their rates exorbitant.

I have had US Cellular for 4 years and never had problems! I used to live near Irving Park and Sheridan and had so-so service with Verizon, then switched to US Cell and NEVER drop calls! I can even use my phone in my basement of my building, while my poor neighbors have to sit outside on the front porch to have a conversation. I can even use it on the EL... underground!

I have been considering swithing to AT&T for the sake of and I phone but am hesitant to leave Verizon. I have never had a problem with reception unless I was in a lower level or an elevator- otherwise very reliable and highly recommend.

i think once every two months I get a "network busy" thing, I wait a minute or so and its ok. somtimes I may lose a call going past forest preserves. T-Mobile and Verizon have been the best reception for me. My contract has been up for like a year waiting for ATT to get their network together so I can get an iphone. looks like that isnt happening anytime soon so tmoblie will get another two year contract from me, mortorola cliq pre orderd!

No complaints... .only time I lose coverage is when I am underground in the EL. But that is expected.
