The reception in Crystal Lake I'LL is the worst reception I have ever had wil a company. They said my reception would improve by the end of 2011... .still sucks. I have zero bars sometimes and zero bars from any basement in Crystal Lake. I hope this improves or my company will have to make a switch.

we have been with AT&T for many years and upgraded to this phone in july 08. I have problems with this phone where I work, certain areas I get no reception at all. Other times the calls get dropped. I've had the phone back at the AT&T store several times. They've updated software and put in a new SIM card, but still have problems. Store told us to call Warranty Dept. to get a new, different phone. But when I called, they only wanted to send another phone of the same model. I wanted to know other options so they gave me another number to call. After going over all this AGAIN, they told me I had to talk to Warranty again. Ultimately, after more than an hour talking to these people, they will still only replace my phone with the same thing. And they actually said they would do me a favor and not charge me the $12 shipping cost! Oh, and the replacement phone will only be covered under warranty until our original warranty is up in July. No 1 year warranty on the new one. I'm thoroughly disgusted with ATT service. I've been a customer more than 10 years... that includes cell, home phone, and internet.

Can barely make a phone call inside the house. Usually have to stand in front of a window. Company furnishes phone or I would have dropped AT&T a long time ago.

Thanks to all you clowns, cell towers are now popping up in what once beautiful contryside. If you need better reception, why don't you ask to have a tower erected in YOUR backyard.

I assume Sprint and Verizon are co-located on the same tower because I have had dropped calls and terrible reception with both carriers inside the house as well as McHenry Ave between Dartmoor and Barlina. I wonder if AT&T is on the same tower. I am now their employee and would like to think I could get better reception even though the employee discount is less than the partner agreement with my previous employer. But I'm willing to pay a little more if I can take a call without sticking my head out the window every time to get another bar.

Verizon needs to fix this. CL has terrible coverage at least where I am. This is a company cell phone so I can't switch either. I did have US Cellular and I never had dropped calls in my house.

I usually only get 1 or 2 bars here, apparently because we're down in a bit of a valley. I've switched employers and am searching out a new provider, but may need to resort to a signal amplifier.

Verizon has been terrible in this area, the phone works away from here, but nothing close to home. It would be easier to get in touch with them if I threw the phone at them. I called repeatedly and then finally they said that they would send someone out to check and see if they could duplicate the problem. Believe it or not they said that I live in a 'marginal' area, if marginal means zero, then that's right. They then suggested that I upgrade my phone and I told them that I couldn't justify spending money on something with no service. Then they said that they would turn the tower toward my house to improve the reception, which I didn't buy and then he said that they were going to put in a new tower near my house and I asked when and he said that he didn't know. It finally ended up that they let me out of the contract with no early charge. Now I just have to find someone with service here.
