I've had perfect reception for about 6 or more years in the Elgin, Dundee, Carpentersville, Hoffman, Schaumburg, I90 - only dead spot for me is heading east on Golf / SUmmit from Elgin towards Hoffman Estates - but ALL of my friends who have different carriers drop in that one area too - everywhere else is perfect though...

I work in downtown east dundee and the singnal is perfect, never dropped a call. The only problem I have is text messaging on the weekends is hit or miss. During the week I have never had a problem at all.

i've been told that my PHONE is the reason I get such hideous reception in this area -- as well as at home AND on I90 between Dundee and Woodfield, AND etc... maybe so, but then again, maybe it's T-Mobile? i was also told that T-Mobile is on the GSM network as opposed to the other kind (something like CDMA), and CDMA (or whatever it's called) supposedly gets better reception in rural areas (as in Dundee??) whereas GSM is better in Metro areas. Either way, my reception is awful here. I also get dropped calls, but not very many. The reception is THE ISSUE. AWFUL. i had to exchange my phone because it would start producing these awful clanging noises which made communication impossible. my experience with T-Mobile's customer support has been very positive. T-Mobile's T-Zone / web is fair - some good features, like the white and yellow page thing. the WAP games are ridiculous. Don't EVEN bother with the games!

I had T-Mobile and I had nothing but bad luck with it. Now I can't wait for my contract to expired with US Cellular so I can give Verizon a chance. Robert
