Heading East on Higgins Rd.from Barrington Rd.to Roselle Road, my phone will lose it's connection and "search" at least 5 times. This happens day in / out and has been going on for years. I use the "mark your spot" app to report the outages, but nothing has changed. You also lose coverage 3 times going south on Plum Grove Rd.from Higgins Rd.to Nerge Road. I guess I should have noticed that the AT&T installers that work in our office complex carry Verizon phones.

I want the provider that has best reception from my area to approx 15miles southwest-ish. Desire text messages and calls not to be dropped and internet not to time out, thanks

Sprint has a dead spot at this intersection. I've had three phones and none of them get a signal at this intersection.

I can't stand Nextel anymore. I never get service anywhere in the Elk Grove area and if I do, ever get service, my call gets dropped.

I get relatively good reception all the time. I do tend to get poorer service in my apartment, but that is due to concrete construction. Thinking of switching carriers, but may not after reading some posts.

5 bars inside a building. I get pretty good service all over Elk Grove... Signal inside my house is weak (2 bars), but I rarely drop calls in there...

I have had Nextel for about 5 years and was very happy with the service but now the service is so bad I can't stand it. All my kids have Nextel and they are also mad because they can not use the phones in and around our home. Nextel told us that it may be the phone, but all four of us have diffent phones well they told us that they were building new towers. That still has not happen. Nextel has not made any impovments to they'er service in two years except combining with Sprint. I wish I cancel because they're service was and still is so bad. I have no contact with Nextel so I am looking for a new carrier and so are my kids. So if you our looking to do not get Nextel.

It might be the phone but I doubt it. I switch from my Sony Ericsson T226 and my Motorola V.70 (unlocked orig. from Tmobile) and I always get perfect signal.. I've had Cingular for months, and I've never had a dropped call.

You have to be close to a window to get any reception on this phone and service.
