The reception is very very poor. Very frequent dropped calls. Thinking of switching to T Mobile.

about all I get now is an occational text. two years ago when I got phone AT&T was great.

Service is HORRIBLE. no service in the house, no service outside near the house. calls don't come through to phones and can't be made out. texts come through hours later. we have 2 3gs and 1 iphone 4. so unacceptable and company being stingy about giving microcell. about to lose our business of 3 years.

We use to have decent cell service but now we are constantly getting Searching, failed calls and no Service. We have 3 iphones 2-3GS and 1 Iphone 4 and they are all experiencing this problem. We are almost ready to switch to Verizon.

Horrible reception by Verizon. No signal at all in my house or outside. (We used to get at least 1 bar.) Have to drive 5-10 minutes out of the Verizon black hole to pick up a signal. What's the deal?

ATT cell coverage inside my York St. home is horrible on any phone used. Professional use is out of the question, I have to ask all callers to wait for me to call them back on land line. ATT advises me to stand outside or on roof. Very helpful advice! This is the absolute center of the Chicago area. ATT, get a map! Contract is up, moving on.

Very weak connection outdoors. Lose network entirely indoors. Had to swithch to Verizon which seems pretty good at this location using LG "The V".

Cingular has been a nightmare. Nextel had far better reception and service. Cingular call quality is primitive and voice mail can be delayed for days. Not useable for business. I will be MUCH MORE selective when the contract is up and I can dump Stincular. Verizon and Nextel have good reputation for this area. Did I mention Cingular customer service being rude, inept and arrogant?

I have four bars at all times inside my apartment and the walls are very thick due to it being an old building. Friends who have Sprint and Cingular get no reception inside but I can make / receive calls no problem. If you live in Elmhurst Verizon is for you!

Reception inside my house is very spotty. I rarely get more than 3 bars and they fluctuate during the call and often drop the call. Depending upon the time of day, I may only get 1 bar and cannot make a call. I cannot see how anyone can hope to depend upon this kind of service as their only mode of communication.

T-mobile is the best service in chicago hands down. Look at all the people who have problems. Can you say Motorola? By far the worst cell maker in the world for signal... ..aside from RIM. Call your provider and get a nokia. YOur experience will be much better. It isn't always good to go with the phone that looks the best or is free.

No comments. I haven't got a signal. It's too bad.

Phone shows 5 bars, but calls do not go through during rush hour and other peak times.

I just bought 2 new cell phones a little over a week ago and signed an AT&T two year contract for both phones on a family plan. My calls drop on EVERY call 5 minutes into my conversation. This is very embarrassing (as frustrating) b/c I use my phone for work. I've had so many people tell me that they don't even here my phone ring when they call or even get my voicemail - just a fast busy signal. Many times in the past week I've had 'emergency' only on my phone, meaning I can't make or receive calls. The '5 bars of reception' that ATT advertises is a joke. I don't even move and it toggles from 5 bars to 0.
