I used to have perfect reception with this service and phone. Contract was up and wanted to get a new phone. Sprint (which is supposed to be same company) had cool phones, pretty good deals. Switched phones and now am on my third trying to find one that works in my office. I wish I had never switched and kept my "crappy" old phone.

We switched from Verizon, which had 5 / 5 coverage all around here. Nextel hasn't been much of a dropoff, and the Direct Connect feature is the best (I waited for two years of Verizon saying "90 more days"). The maddening thing about Nextel is that I have experienced many dropouts. 4 bars, then another hundred yards later, dropped call. There are several spots along I-88 where I try not to make calls because I know I'll lose them.

No reception in downtown Geneva. I am luckly if I get one or two bars on a good day. Never able to carry on a conversation on the phone without the phone calls being dropped.

I had Verizon in the past with great reception on a Motorola phone, had to buy new phone- samsung, I can't talk to anyone without a distortion, feedback, and warble even if the bars are 4. This is awful. Customer service manager very good but still have useless phone. Perhaps I need a phone that is trimode although the store never suggests that until you come in complaining.

I lose bars standing still all day long. My phone will sit in charger with 3 bars then all of a sudden I lost service completely. At work 1 mile away it beeps on and off all day standing still. This happens everywhere. LOL when I see the AD on TV.
