We travel to Texas a lot. Had Nextel, lost service at Marion Il. and lasted thru Blytheville Ar. Also had no service in Northern Tennesee. Switched to T Mobile and have good cell service most of the way. Can call anywhere in my house and have 4 bars. I have had very few dropped calls. A friend of mine that lives 6 blocks from me has Verizon and has to stand outside his house to use his cell phone. He borrowed my phone tried it at his house and T Mobile service isn't any better than his. Cingular gets hardly any service in my home. Dr.one mile east toward Big Rock and its good. All in all, NONE of them are perfect. I have had good service with T Mobile. Would renew it again.

After complaints of nearly non-existent reception, Verizon service blamed it on my older phone. After signing a new contract and purchasing their newest phone I find that it has only improved to poor. This is true of any location within about five miles of this location. A subsequent complaint has confirmed that the service is poor and there is no plan to improve it.

Poor reception with Verizon. Lots of dropped calls. Switched to Sprint. Somewhat better reception - that or the phone was a little better and newer. Reception with either Sprint or Verizon is very poor at the grade school.
