ATT seems to be fine in Southgate subdivision. I get NO coverage at HF high school where I work until I get to the parking lot. Absolutely dismal. T Mobile's chart says my block is a weaker coverage area, so I'm hesitant to switch even though I've heard good things.

Cingular is NOT GOOD for the extreme south suburbs of Chicago. Homewood and Flossmoor have PLENTY of dead spots. I've read trouble with T-Mobile for north, nortwest suburbs, but I think they have pretty decent coverage further south. I get one bar in my house and 5 bars on the next block. Maddening. They all have their weak spots and they'll all try to convince you otherwise to get you to agree to a ball and chain for 2 years. My advice is to pay as you go for a few months and go about your daily stuff and see what happens with your phone. You can do this with any network to see which works for your unique needs.
