I have always had awesome reception in Jacksonville and the surrounding areas in Central Illinois. I can't remember the last time I had a dropped call! Call quality is great. I am a very satisfied customer!

T-Mobile does exist in Jacksonville, and their coverage isn't too bad. Given the terrain of Jacksonville, it can be pretty bad in places. Be warned, all T-Mobile numbers given to Jacksonville residents act like Springfield numbers, so it will act like a long-distance call to call a T-Mobile number. About coverage, T-Mobile has one tower in Jacksonville. It is located near the main square, in the north-central part of town. Coverage in the heart of Jacksonville is excellent, coverage to the north is fine, and coverage to the east and south is pretty good. Coverage to the West of downtown Jacksonville is spotty, and to the South West is pretty bad, and basically non-existent indoors. From Mound and Webster south the coverage is bad, and you will roam to other networks. T-Mobile needs to put up a tower south of town. Their local coverage map provided on T-Mobile's website is very accurate in showing this dead spot.
