I love my phone, the most features and style I could ask for but the reception is incredible around chicago. It blows my mind how I can live in one of the biggest citys in the US and still have horrible reception. I could understand elevators and parking garages, but when you driving down any major street or highway and your signal cuts out I just loose it and I want to through my phone in the garbage. And for someone who lives on there phone with my line of work, I just can't have it. I've gone from nextel, to verizon, to Cingular now and there all horrible. Goverment has to do something about it cause cell phone companies have people over a barrel in this city.

Cingular has run into some issues while bringing the AT&T towers into their network. Reception can go from full bars to "No Service" while standing still. Multiple dropped calls. Had Cell One / Cingular for over 14 yrs. only began having issues late 2005 in their GSM network. Getting cells to "hand off" calls between one another seems to be their biggest issue (doesn't necessarily default to the cell with the best signal during hand-off) I've tried multiple phones from various manufactures... phone can cause results to vary greatly.

Reception is generally acceptable but not yet 100%.Reception is much better on this Nokia 'candy bar' than on either LG or Verizon flip phones I've previously owned. No problems by intersection of Archer Ave. and Lemont Road, anywhere along 159th Street, or along Larkin or Route 59 or 53. The worst reception is along Archer near Cog Hill.
