Verizon in Minooka IL, spotty coverage at best.. Many no signal area's north of I80 on Ridge and Along Rt 52.. Per Verizon Customer Service, they are aware this is a no coverage area, but, will not update their maps as they have a licence for coverage in the area.. Verizon maps are not actual coverage maps, but, areas where they have a licence for service. Ughhhhhhh...

ever since Sprint took over Nextel the service has ben aweful.it sucks

Poor coverage Northwest of Minooka Il.. If on a call driving between Ridge Rd.and Grove on Route 52... Call aways drops.. This is a rural area.. Right past the second cow, look for the farm house with a crow and a rooster out front.. About half way between Ridge and RT52 by the Seward Township building.. Oooopppsss. Dropped call.. Verizon say, impossible. They also incist there is EVDO coverage... In Minooka, Around Minooka and West of Minooka there is not.. If you live in the area, please post your responses.. From another messasge I saw, I asked Verizon to update their maps.. They said, no way.. The maps are computer projections, and, are more accurate than real world experiance and the maps will not be changed.. I was also advised to cancel my service.. The said they would wave one of the cancellation fees for my 4 phones.. Expected me to jump up and say yes I will pay $525 to cancel my service.. Yea.. Right..

No reception on either phone. Lost calls. Press the send button.. Never connects.. Doesn't work at all in the house.. Only 50% of the time outside.. Verizon says the don't understand why.. I bought 2 new phones at full price.. Same issue.. Verizon says too bad... Recomends cancelling the service.. Wants to charge $350.. I explained there is no coverage.. Their reply, I should have though about it before I bought my nice new home... Should have purchased elsewhere..

Poor to no reception in the Minooka Illinois area... Especially north of I80... Per Verizon, they have full EVDO and 1X coverage.. Which is reflected on the maps.. All 4 of my phones drop calls in the area.. Send, no connect issues.. No ring and then have a voicemail.. Can't connect to mobil web.. Poor to no service in the area..

Poor to no Verizon Wireless Reception in the Summerfield Subdivision, Minooka IL

They need another cell tower in this area. Sprints coverage map shows my location as being a strong signal area-best. If this is not intentional deception, they need to change the map or add a tower. I also have a Verizon LG 4650 phone that gets no reception / signal from my home. That makes Sprint better than Verizon and a pigeon with a message attached to his foot better than both. The Sprint phone does work great everywhere but the house. The Verizon phone is poor most of the time and below average at best. I use both phones between Minooka and Batavia every day. nobody is surprised when they can't reach me on the Verizon phone. When they can't reach me on the Sprint phone they know I am home and they call me on the land line.

It used to be touch and go with my old phone. But since I upgraded to the Treo 650, I haven't had any problems with reception.

Nextel has almost no reception through many areas of Plainfield and Minooka. You will be on a phone call and the call gets dropped and the phone goes to no service most of the time.
