Never had any problems whatsoever. I use the Razr in our apt at Lake&Austin and also all over Oak Park including downtown. Never had a dropped call yet with Verizon, never have less than perfect reception. Verizon is more expensive than the competition however and I think this is why!

I call extensively throughout Oak Park. About 18 months a go I switched to the Razr phone and the call quality went from average to outstanding. I get calls in most buildings and throughout the village in my car. I have a dropped call or bad reception with maybe 3 or 4 calls out of 100 in Oak Park. I've talked three friends into switching to the Razr and they've had similar results. Don't know what makes this phone work so well with the AT&T network, but it sure does. I know other AT&T users, with other phones and their results aren't as good as mine.

Rush Oak Park Hospital (Front DesK Waiting Area), Oak Park, IL 60304 Thu Nov 09, 2006

This phone and service provider seem to be better than others. Phone reception in the front waiting area inside the hospital is excellent. I have at times been able to answer a call even while riding the elevators inside the hospital, however, sometimes I've lost the call when switching floors.

Upgraded to Motorola Razr phone and reception throughout Oak Park had a major improvement. No more dropped calls, 3 to 5 bar reception inside many buildings. Area along Oak Park Ave. South of Lake use to be very bad. Now it is OK.

I'm so tired of bad reception in Oak park... .I no longer live there but I work there 12 hours a day sometimes and need to be in communication with coworkers and my family. I have a horrible time with reception and data. I just watch my phone do nothing a lot of the time when trying to access anything data oriented on my iphone. Please put up more towers up or increase bandwith. I live in Darien and all is fine there but half my time I spend in Oak Park and thats when I need my phone to work the most. My friend recently dumped his iphone and went Android with Verizon. he gets fast internet anywhere in Oak Park consistently and no bad calls... I'm considering doing the same...

Since June my reception has been poor. In my house it goes from 3 bars to Seaching... . to No Service. Get the 3g E alot as well. Went to local AT&T store in Sept and they said there was maintenance going on on the towers. Sales Rep at store had 1 bar while I had 3. Problem has continued and recently missed 2 calls from a "lady friend" I am trying to date which resulted in a missed evening out. NOW I'M PISSED! Called AT&T today and they said they had "several degraded towers" within 10 mile radius. They have given me a credit for the past 6 months of voice and are adding a credit for data. Total credit should reach $360. It seems to me AT&T is accepting payment for services that they cannot provide adequately. This reminds me alot of AOL in its early days of internet service. Is there any class action activity going on against AT&T? I recommend calling AT&T and mentioning that you heard there are degraded towers in your area and you would like to receive a credit. Be calm and respectful. The customer service employees are not to blame. This is the fault of a poorly managed quality control system.

I hate Sprint with a burning passion. The only reason I don't chuck my phone out the window and switch to Verizon is because my parents don't wanna cancel the contract. I get no reception almost anywhere. My phone has no capability to text at all. Sometimes my friends get 5, 10 copies of a text that I only sent once. I cant remember the last clear call I had. They always drop, and the person on the line can never hear me. The only reason Sprint gets a 1 is because its good at sending messages under the desk at a school... .do yourself a favor--DONT GET SPRINT!

Terrible service. We had to buy a microcell for my home office, and even then it's not all roses. Forget leaving my home. It's a 50 / 50 chance a call will not drop and / or the person on the other end of the line will hear me.
