Since the Nextel takeover by Sprint, don't be fooled or let them lie to you, it was a takeover not a merger... Nextel had great reception before the takeover, even in my basement... Now, nothing... SPRINT SUCKS ASS!

Nextel was great, the absolute best before the takeover by Sprint... Sprint was never any good they pretty much always sucked and now they are dragging Nextel down to their level... My phone will go from a full signal to no service back to a full signal and so on about a dozen times while sitting on my coffee table, not being touched or moved... I can drive to work in the morning and go into no service on southwest hwy. between 95th and cicero, but come home the same way and have a full signal 2 feet the other side of the yellow line... My guess is Sprints plan is to give the Sprint customers Nextels good towers and give Nextel customers Sprints crappy towers and to con Nextel customers into becoming Sprint customers and to phase out Nextel altogether... As soon as these companies allow cross network two-way I will find a new provider... Sprint can kiss my fat a**, that is pretty much how their customer service attitude is when you call with problems or to complain...

Half the time I get 'No Service' - If you do get service for a minute consider the call dropped immediately afterwards. Same near my house at 88th Ave and 100th ST Palos Hills and Hickory are horrible areas for Nextel coverage. I've spoken to customer service on numerous occasions and they admit lacking badly needed additional tower(s) in the area. Same deal with Sprint and AT&T Cingular and Verizon over here. Stick with T-Mobile - the only carrier that has enough towers in the area
