I've had Sprint for a number of years and have seen steady improvements. Still some questionable / dead spots if you travel too far off the main highway but again, that seems to be improving. They recently upgraded the entire central IL area to EVDO service which provides high-speed data.

I have absolutely no complaints about cell phone reception in Peoria, IL area. Anywhere I go, I get a lot of bars and have not dropped calls. Additionally, in the place I work only Verizon functions INSIDE the building. I was previously with T-Mobile and had to walk out of the building every time I had a call

Have gone through two Tri-Band model phones without any problem. Never had any dropped calls only occasional echoing. Just wished they made smaller Tri-band models phones, instead of having the all-digital models being small.

Cingular has no towers near Bradley University - even though their map says they do. They have a "roaming agreement" with T-Mobile which is why they show Peoria covered. Unless you're able to switch your phone over to T-mobiles signal, you are screwed

Have to run upstairs to answer calls at home. Basement = no reception. St.level = spotty reception, dropped calls. Upstairs = one to two bars.

The phone service was really bad when I first moved to Peoria, but then Sprint opened up a tower on Bradley's Campus. I always have full reception and no longer have a problem using my phone anywhere in Peoria.

Very less coverage in this region. 10 miles north, service is non-existent. Called up Customer service. Guy said "No towers for T-Mobile in Peoria"!
