I always get great reception and literally never drop calls. In my house I get four bars and outside 90% of the time I have five bars and never below that.

Toward the end of 2006 Cingular claimed to have updated their network. My reception seems better but there are times I get a bad connection. Bottom line is, it's a cell phone, if you want a perfect call use a land line. ERB

Reception is all over the the board. Right now I have 5 bars at home, but many times it is 1 or 2 bars.

Have not received text msgs for the past month while in the Lakewood Falls subdivision in North East Plainfield. They are "upgrading" towers which supposedly have been finished twice so far. I call after each time it has been fixed and they give me a new date (they use Sprint towers) I only get texts if my call is in use. My texts work when I travel east away from I55 or travel south towards Rt 30.

Have been getting dropped calls and no-ring voicemails for almost a month now... I called for the 5th time last week and was able to get 2 things... I got a $100 credit on my bill (which only partly pays for one month of my 3-phone plan). On a subsequent call the same day I said, verbatim "one of 2 things will happen next week since you can't give me a straight answer on when it will be fixed... Either you will have 3 phones sitting at one of your corporate locations - and me parting ways with Spring forever... Or there will be an Air Rave (airvana) sitting at my house next week - free of charge. Take your pick - I don't care at this point." The airRave was next-dayed to me and, though not optimal because I still lose calls in the area, at least I can successfully make calls while at home. Like others have mentioned, I find it a bit amusing that sprint-corporate denies the mere existence of an issue in the first place. The last time I called, the rep said she was going to check if there were any tower issues in the area and I said "M'am don't bother - I've called 4 times before and all 4 times was told there were no issues noted on your system. But if you call any - and I mean ANY - dealer or customer in this area and I can promise you that after they swear at you, you will DEFINITELY hear there is an ongoing issue." Clearly one cannot fix an issue when one doesn't even acknowledge that there is one. I'm trying desperately to be patient with Sprint because I'd whack off a leg with a rusty knife before I'd go back to AT&T - but this is absurd. I'm going to give them until June and pull the plug if they can't get it together.

Sprint is absolutely the worst mobile provider in N. Plainfield, IL 60544. They "upgraded" their towers to Samsung multimode base stations to combine 3G and 4G. Their "Network Vision Upgrade". Now, we cannot receive text messages unless an incoming call wakes up the log jam of messages. Sprint text messaging does not work. Period. I'm an electrical engineer specializing in IP networks. Each time I call they report no issues,"well sir, we show no issues with the tower in your area", like I'm some idiot. We have two phones on family plan, identical models, and it fails here. Dr.down the road to I-55 and Weber Road, and then I get all queued up messages dumped at once. It's the tower here in my area, not my phone(s). My advice... . Call *2 on your phone, tell them you want this escalated, and get a CMTS Ticket # assigned. You will need that to get out of the $350 / phone termination fee.

Can't call from inside the house. Outside in the yard sucks. I can see a tower from my house but I don't know who it belongs to. The service has gotten worse not better as time goes on. Gonna fire up my HAM radio.

Get 1 bar consistently. Had no issues with Nextel but went to Cingular and it sucks. Thanks for raising the bar Cingular. F.

Calls barely last 5 minutes before dropping, loses reception constantly, takes over 2 minutes to dial a call and find a signal. Can not get signal in own house, sometimes outside, but not too often.
