US Cellular has the best service around. Just really bad phones. Id love to see the iPhone hook up with US Cellular to make it a competitive company.

You will receive one bar, and your phone may ring, but if you move more than blinking you eyes, you'll drop the call. That is, unless you are able to shield your phone (i.e. put it in a fridge, or basement) and thus force it to roam off the US Cellular tower in town.

Service is awful, even though reps are convinced it is not. However, with a little trickery, you can insulate a Verizon phone in Prophetstown enough to force it to roam off of US Cellular's towers. Once you do that, you can talk with full bars. Too bad you can't lock the phone to the roaming network, for if you leave it out of the insulating material too long the roaming signal is lost and it tries to be on the phantom-signal of the Verizon network again. Changing service providers at end of contract.

Great reception, the only service that consistantly works.
