If I get 3 bars i'm lucky. If I raise it and point the bottom at the window I might get 4.

Coverage is a non-issue in town. Never have dropped calls and they are all very clear. Most people think I'm calling from a landline due to the clarity. The phones are very good at blocking out the road noise.

I moved to Quincy in December 2004 from Chicago and I had to switch from T-Mobile to US Cellular. I work in Quincy, Rushville and Carthage and I have great coverage all over. I believe there are only two dead spots (that I know of) I experienced in my travel: one on 336 and one on 61. Very few drop calls and good sound quality. Even in Little Rock, AR I had the best coverage among my friends (they have Sprint and T-Mobile). I wish they will have a better variety of phones... but coverage and plans (especially free incoming) rocks.

I have been a US Cellular customer for over 10 years now and I could count the number of dropped calls on one hand. Even when we went out West on vacation around Yellowstone and out in that area, my reception was great. I don't know if I have been lucky at getting phones with good reception or what, but I am a very satisfied customer.

About half the calls drop after a few seconds. I've talked to the customer service people several times. They now say a new tower is in the works at the North end of 12th street near Quincy. I don't think that will help matters North of Ursa along hwy 96 due to the distance from the tower.

I had the LG 6000 and upgraded to the 6100 camera phone. Reception plummeted. This phone won't pick up a decent signal anywhere. I wish I'd never switched!
