Although Sprint PCS is CDMA and thus doesn't interfere with speakers and other electronic equipment like GSM can [Cingular / T-mobile], their service is terrible in St. Joseph. Although there are 3 or 4 bars outside, inside service drops frequently, especially if you keep the phone in your pocket. I've had the service beep on and I can hear it drop quite often, so much so that eventually I'll shut the beep off. Otherwise, service is fine in Champaign-Urbana, only exception being parts of Savoy. I've encountered a few dead spots when traveling to Chicago [I-57] and Indianapolis [I-74], which is unfortunate since Sprint advertises service all along there. If you want better coverage and the same services / price, go with Verizon [like I will be]. The only good thing about Sprint is if I start a call before 7 am, the entire call will count as night minutes, even after it passes 7 am, no anytime minutes are used - unless the call ends and you have to start back up again. On the flipside, if you start a call before 9 pm, it will keep deducting out of the anytime minutes unless you hang up and call back.
