Its always one bar here,and many a times it almost goes to zero. It has gone worst since this november,earlier I could atleast receive calls but now the other party says they cant here me at all as the voice cracks. AT&T please do something about this. I am stuck with u guys for next 24 months now.Hope the service increases

Poor to no reception in facility by McDonalds

I get perfect reception everywhere in my house, even my basement gets an average of 5 bars out of 6.

Awesome reception almost anywhere near the south east side near the Lake and UIS.

We have tried different carriers all the carriers are just as poor you can keep one bar for maybe a couple minutes.

Signal is weak at best all the residents of the street have to stand out side just to get one bar and that drops about every two minutes.

Used to get 0-2 bars in Montvale Plaza. On 6 / 30 / 06, bars increased increased up to 5 because towers were built a few days prior. T-Mobile is stepping its game up. Excellent reception. Keep up the good work.

Must have done a major upgrade of service towers recently. I've noticed a big improvment in several areas all over town starting around middle December 2005. Very seldom drop below four bars, most times at Max reception. Great job Cingular!

Though I usually get 3-4 bars of service, I have had numerous dropped calls within the past 2 months. 4 Bars of Cingular service is probably the equivalent of 2 bars of competitor's service. Cingular has a weak network in general and I've had this problem in multiple places.

1-2 bars. Talk for 1 minute then cut off. 2 bars outside. Been this way ever since we owned cell phones.

through out the city is great

Bad area for Verizon from here all the way up to ash street. Phone will oscillate between "no service," "entended network," and "Verizon Wireless" constantly. Any signal is just one useless bar and it does'nt last. It is a shame when this is a highly populated area with shopping centers and restaurants. Cingular and T-Mobile have great coverage here. Nextel is alright too. But Sprint is not any better than Verizon. Must be lack of CDMA towers. After reading the comments on this site for Springfield IL., Cinguar is the best network here. I'm switching.

What an improvement! Now can make and recieve calls in classrooms, University Hall, Labs, and Cafeteria. You were lucky to get 2 bars outside. Verizon used to dominate the area, now Cingular / ATT does! Just in time because I was just about to switch carriers. New Tower is located just east of LLCC!

Used to be bad here, 2 bars outside and zero inside. There is a new tower here, must be cingular's because reception is perfect. Even in Blessed Sacrament's Church and Basement!

You have full bars and crystal clear reception with Cingular anywhere in the Springfield Metro Area.

Cingular works great in the school. Everybody else's phone doesn't work in the school (especially Verizon Wireless). People ask, "You actually have signal in here!?" Even in the basement.

Excellent reception throughout the mall except deep within some of the anchors.
